Overview Sarafan ChEM-H at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the junior level (Assistant or untenured Associate Professor) with research that sits at the interface of molecular science and computation. The successful candidate will have a primary appointment in a School of Engineering department and will develop a world-class research program at the molecular scale, including opportunities for collaboration across Stanford and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. More information about the institute is available at Responsibilities Develop and lead a world-class research program in molecular scale science at the interface of chemistry, biology, and computation. Propose innovative computational approaches to gain insights at the interface of chemistry, biology, engineering, and medicine. Establish a teaching program within a School of Engineering department, following standard tenure-track practices. Collaborate with faculty across Stanford departments, and with the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Qualifications Ph.D. in computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related discipline in science, engineering, or medicine. A track record of research that integrates computational and molecular sciences with potential for impact in biology, chemistry, or medicine. Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring in a highly interdisciplinary environment. Compensation and Benefits The Expected Base Pay Range For This Position Is Assistant Professor: $138,477 – $155,643 Associate Professor (untenured): $152,325 – $184,845 Stanford University provides a pay range representing a good-faith estimate of compensation.
