How you will change lives

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you'll play a crucial role in providing compassionate care to patients with renal failure as part of our dedicated healthcare team. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will support patients during their dialysis treatments and ensure their comfort and safety.

What you'll be doing

Patient Care. You'll work closely with patients to provide safe and high-quality dialysis treatment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Gathering patient statistics before and after treatment.
• Initiating, monitoring, and terminating the dialysis treatment.
• Collecting patient blood samples as directed by physician orders.

Technician Duties. Your role will also involve technical tasks to maintain high quality of care. This includes:

• Preparing and cleaning dialysis machines before and after treatments.
• Conducting safety checks and logging results to ensure compliance with health standards.

Safety and Quality. You will implement safety protocols, using personal protective equipment and adhering to all company policies, state and federal regulations. Participation in staff meetings and ongoing education will be required.

The Dialysis Patient Care Technician position is located at 3421 N Lakeview Dr, Tampa, FL 33618.

What we're looking for

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A passion for healthcare and a desire to support patients.
• Previous experience in healthcare, especially in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is beneficial.
• Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to established protocols.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.

Other requirements

• Successful completion of the USRC training program, including demonstrated competency in hemodialysis theory and practice within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained and maintained in good standing within 18 months of hire.
