Commercial Real Estate Intern

Costa Mesa, CA

Boardwalk Investments Group, LLC ("Boardwalk") is a privately held commercial real estate investment company. Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, the Firm currently manages a commercial real estate portfolio comprised of retail, mixed-use, office and multifamily assets located primarily in Orange County, California. Since 2012, Boardwalk's investment strategy is to actively acquire, stabilize, and manage commercial real estate located in core, coastal markets in California.


The Commercial Real Estate Intern will support our efforts to secure new office locations as part of a large-scale expansion beginning in Orange County. This is a part-time internship, offering hands-on experience in commercial real estate and operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and identify potential office locations within Orange County.
• Partner with brokers, property managers, and leasing contacts to gather detailed property information.
• Verify each prospective location meets required size, power capacity, connectivity options, and other technical criteria.
• Schedule and attend property tours; document notes, photos, utilities, and rental details.
• Maintain organized tracking systems, spreadsheets, and comparison documents for all potential sites.
• Manage follow-ups with brokers to clarify specs, request additional details, and confirm suitability.
• Assist with preparation of internal summaries and recommendations based on property evaluations.
• Provide general support to the real estate and operations teams throughout the expansion process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled in a bachelor's program focused on Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related area of study.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to evaluate and compare multiple property options.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable conducting independent research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
