About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Fundraising and Community Engagement in New York. The successful candidate will be tasked with cultivating relationships and increasing financial commitments from existing supporters, as well as inspiring new community members to become significant financial backers. This role is pivotal in advocating for equitable government funding and resources for yeshivas and Jewish day schools, ensuring that quality Jewish education is accessible to all families. The Executive Director will be responsible for creating and executing a plan to enhance community engagement and grow revenue through solicitations, donor cultivation, and stewardship. Key responsibilities include meeting fundraising goals, maintaining strong donor relationships, and engaging the community in advocacy activities. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' of experience in sales, fundraising, or a related field, with a proven track record of success. A strong commitment to Jewish education and advocacy is essential, as is the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to pivot in rapidly changing situations, and a proactive, problem-solving approach. The ideal candidate will have ties to the New York Jewish community and schools, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred. The Executive Director will also be responsible for supervising a Development Associate and must be adept at managing a CRM system for moves management.
