What you will do
You will be the primary technical expert on the shift and be the source for troubleshooting expertise.
How you will do it - Develop and improve the consistency of injection molding machines and processes.
- Ensure molding machines and supporting systems are set to correct parameters and meeting production goals.
- Evaluate causes of process variation and identify probable causes; interact with process engineering and production supervision as necessary to confirm causes and identify the appropriate corrective actions to resolve unacceptable quality conditions.
- Verify process parameters and implement changes, as appropriate, to improve cycle times.
- Troubleshoot processing problems including normal adjustments and checks.
- Ensure job start-ups run correctly, making any necessary adjustments.
- Train, coach, and monitor machine operators to ensure they are following procedures and they are minimizing scrap and downtime.
- May assist Manufacturing Supervisor in all areas of daily operations of the department and may substitute for the Manufacturing Supervisor in his/her absence.
What we look for Required - Minimum 2 years of injection molding experience is required.
Preferred - Minimum 2 year technical degree (preferred will substitute education for experience).
What we do here Our Florence, Kentucky components plant began operations in 1978 and here is home to our components plant which manufactures PowerFrame ® grids and our battery containers and covers. Here we produce around 173,000 cases a day.
