We are seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to join our team to help care for up to 10 residents at our licensed Residential Group Home. This position is strictly LIVE-IN ONLY and includes room and board as part of the compensation package. Weekly days hours may vary, with shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. Maximum of 40 hours per week. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO COVER ANY SHIFTS AS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY SO YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMMIT TO ANY OTHER EMPLOYMENT.

We have a separate, private casita on property with 2 rooms, 1 bathroom and small kitchen. We MAY consider allowing an employee's spouse/partner/family member to stay on property if they can handle landscaping, light handyman duties and pool maintenance as compensation. No children or pets allowed. Power, water and internet are included. Meals during your shift are also included.

Compensation is the included use of the on-site private casita and a salary of $350.00 to $400.00 per week. Any hours over 40 for the week will be paid per hour at minimum wage.

Duties

• Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist clients with mobility and transferring to ensure safety.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific requirements.
• Support clients with memory care techniques to enhance cognitive function.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote emotional well-being.
• Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the manager, family members or healthcare professionals.
• Uphold resident rights by ensuring privacy, dignity, and respect in all interactions.
• Meal preparation and cleaning.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
• Ability to create and follow care plans effectively.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients and families.
• Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining client confidentiality.
• Capable of performing light housekeeping duties as needed for client comfort.
• Must be patient, empathetic, and able to handle challenging situations with grace.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is a requirement.
• Must pass a background check.
• Provide proof of a current TB test.
• Complete all state-mandated training.
• Must be able to legally work in the United States.
• No sponsorship available.
