Location: School in Warren, Michigan Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Salary: $24 - $32 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

As a School-Based Social Worker , your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
• Working with children facing developmental, academic, and emotional challenges.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote the social-emotional and academic success of students.
• Offering support and interventions to students struggling with trauma, stress, bullying, and family-related issues.
• Assisting students in developing coping skills, emotional regulation , and positive behaviors .
• Advocating for students and helping connect families to community resources and support services.
• Creating and implementing behavioral interventions and social-emotional learning programs.

Qualifications:

To excel as a School-Based Social Worker at PSI, you'll need:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) , School Social Work , or a related field.
• Valid School Social Worker certification for the state of Michigan.
• Experience working with children and families, especially in a school or educational setting.
• Strong communication skills , empathy, and a commitment to improving the well-being of students.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
• Passion for making a difference in students' lives and their communities.
