  • Ensure all processes and policies related to procurement are documented according to SOPs.

Inventory Management:

  • Develop and implement a scalable, compliant stock inventory system, transitioning from the current non-stock R&D process to a fully qualified and traceable operation.
  • Develop and implement a part number system that can be used for stock inventory, including tracking of lot numbers and dating.
  • Configure the inventory module within the ERP to facilitate entry of new qualified supplies with appropriate attributes and approvals as needed.
  • Work with Product Management and Marketing to enable the development of any kits and present alternatives for third-party fulfillment, including make-vs-purchase analyses.
  • Develop and implement an automated receipt and tracking process that supports incoming inspections and updates data within both the ERP and LIMS.
  • Develop and implement an internal inventory requisition process for stock items.
  • Coordinate the logistics and distribution of materials for both laboratory and R&D purposes, considering any specialized storage requirements while minimizing cost.
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of received goods and associated financial records.

ERP, LIMS, and Data Platform Integration:

  • Act as the primary supply chain stakeholder for the implementation and configuration of ERP purchasing, manufacturing, and inventory modules. This includes defining requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, managing data migration, testing, and training end-users to ensure seamless integration with LIMS and enterprise data systems.
  • Define inventory and procurement requirements within LIMS and oversee integration to and from ERP modules.
  • Participate in company-wide data initiatives as the supply chain and inventory representative.
  • Ensure that data entry into all systems is timely, accurate, and follows all company processes.

Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Quality Management:

  • Strategically manage material costs to optimize cost of goods for company tests. Responsible for identifying and executing cost-saving initiatives while maintaining strict quality standards, directly contributing to the companys overall financial health and accessibility of tests.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable quality standards governing the handling, storage, and usage of laboratory materials, and the accurate delivery of diagnostic test results. This includes collaborating on supplier qualifications and audits.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline supply chain processes, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks, while maintaining a strong focus on quality.
  • Develop and execute strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, including identifying potential disruptions, establishing backup suppliers, and creating contingency plans for critical materials.
  • Work closely with laboratory personnel, scientific teams, and quality and regulatory management to understand material needs, communicate supply chain status, and address any issues.
  • Utilize supply chain data to identify trends, optimize performance, and generate reports on key metrics such as fill rates, order accuracy, and inventory turnover for both operational and R&D materials.
  • Champion a culture of excellence, ownership, and collaboration. Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues across the organization, ensuring all team members are aligned with the companys core purpose and values.
