Shift: Day Shift – 3x12-Hour (07:00 – 19:00)

Job Responsibilities

    Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult, pediatric, neonatal, and geriatric patients

    \t

  • \t

    Deliver respiratory therapy services in Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Pediatrics

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Assist with airway management , including intubation assistance, extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation , CPAP, BiPAP, and High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and capillary blood gases

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Administer respiratory medications via nebulizers, MDIs, aerosol masks, and trach delivery systems

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Support high-risk deliveries , neonatal respiratory care, and inter-departmental patient transports

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Perform pulmonary function testing , spirometry, stress testing, and bronchial provocation testing as needed

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Provide oxygen therapy using various delivery devices including masks, ET tubes, trach collars, and T-pieces

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Assist with emergency response, trauma cases, and rapid response situations

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Document patient care accurately and timely using the Cerner charting system

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including potential long-term care support

    \t
Required Skills & Experience

    Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Experience in Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Pediatrics

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Strong knowledge of ventilator management, oxygen delivery systems, and pulmonary hygiene

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Proficiency in airway management and respiratory emergencies

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Ability to care for patients with conditions such as pneumonia, COVID-19, respiratory failure, and aspiration

    \t
  • \t
  • \t

    Experience with neonatal and pediatric respiratory disorders preferred

  • \t

    Ability to work every other weekend and participate in on-call rotation

  • \t

    Strong communication, critical thinking, and clinical assessment skills
