Role Overview

About the Role

Client is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Video Editor to support our in-house Multimedia and Newsroom team. This role sits at the intersection of video editing, media operations, and platform delivery, working closely with Editor, Motion Designers, and the Art Director to keep projects organized, efficient, and moving forward.

This is an ideal role for an early-career video professional who is comfortable using Adobe Premiere Pro, has working knowledge and experience with After Effects, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced creative environment. Additional experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is preferred but not required. This position reports to the Director of Multimedia and Newsroom.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Project Support

· Ingest, organize, and label raw footage from multiple sources

· Build and maintain clean, consistent project structures in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

· Create and manage proxy workflows to support efficient editing across the team

· Prepare timelines, bins, and assets for Editors and Motion Designers

· Assist with basic edits, selects, string-outs, and versioning as needed

· Work with Essential Graphics Templates and established motion design systems

· Support the Art Director and Motion Designers by ensuring assets are correctly prepared and versioned

Media Management & Operations

  • Maintain disciplined file naming conventions and folder structures
  • Track deliverables and export final assets according to established specs
  • Manage uploads to platforms such as YouTube and Brightcove
  • Apply and QA metadata, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions, and aspect ratios
  • Handle revisions, re-exports, and platform-specific delivery requirements
  • Coordinate upload schedules and confirm successful publishing

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Partner closely with Editors, Motion Designers, and the Art Director to support active projects
  • Communicate clearly around asset readiness, handoffs, and deadlines
  • Identify missing assets, inconsistencies, or technical issues early
  • Follow established workflows while contributing ideas to improve efficiency and organization

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in video editing, media production, or a related field
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Basic to intermediate experience with Adobe After Effects
  • Familiarity with Essential Graphics Templates and shared creative workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort managing large media libraries and complex file systems
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a distributed creative team

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing uploads to YouTube, Brightcove, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of proxy workflows, codecs, frame rates, and delivery specs
  • Familiarity with brand systems and creative standards
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Interest in technology, enterprise content, or branded storytelling
  • Desire to grow into a more advanced editing or motion design role
