Job Summary

This Senior Lead will serve as the Process focal point for the client as an Owner’s Engineer overseeing the deliverables produced by a 3rd party EPC contractor.

• Responsible for heat and material balance, the development of process flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, system design parameters, and design or rating of equipment.
• P&ID development such as design conditions, pressure relief valve sizing, hydraulic calculations, etc
• Development of process simulators, configuration studies, incorporation and integration of licensor data
• Oversees the detailed engineering design performed by 3rd party contractor, serving in an Owner’s Engineer role
• Scope definition from receipt of post-FEED data to Issue For Construction process deliverables. Interface directly with the client to define all operating requirements.
• Overall responsibility for Process Engineering deliverables, including simulations, heat and material balances, PFDs, equipment datasheets, and P&IDs. Assures Quality Control practices are in place and being followed.
• Manage scope change technically

Skills Required

• 15+ years experience in related industries
• Demonstrated leadership of process design on capital projects, including responsibility for budget, schedule, and change management is required.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred, not required

Additional Requirements

• Open to travel to China and/or Africa for business trips and key meetings as project requires
